Welcome to the website of Academics Connecting Together (ACT). ACT is an academic exchange company that focuses on bridging peoples from Iran, Armenia, and America. 

One of the great joys I have in working for ACT is meeting academics from many cultures, especially from the peoples of Iran and Armenia. Peoples in this part of the world often are misunderstood. Sometimes just by listening to one another simple cues can be picked up that avoid conflict. My desire here at ACT is that we learn from each other, communicate effectively and accurately, and build lasting relationships based on trust and honesty. Understanding each other helps to convey the importance of our varying cultures, histories, philosophies, and religions. We believe academics have a special responsibility to 1) educate others about their society in a way people from other cultures can understand and appreciate; and 2) learn about other cultures and explain them to their society truthfully and unbiasedly. If this is something that interests you, we would love to hear from you.   

If you are a Western scholar interested in learning more about Iran and Armenia, and are willing to go there for sabbatical, further research or study, please contact us. We may be able to help you navigate the system.
